Been Watching the Olympics?

boy wearing an olympics jacketKen and I sure have been enjoying the London Games – we’ve been switching on NBC every night (and I may well go into Olympic withdrawal after Sunday :-). Of course, my husband, being the competitive guy that he is, is LOVING that the U.S. is on the top of medal table. But, oh, that we would “train ourselves in godliness” like Allyson Felix trains for the 200 m, right?! First Corinthians 9:25 says, “Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.” Yep, we want that forever-crown :-)! By the way, this is my nephew, Tyler, wearing my Dad’s 1932 Olympic jacket – Daddy was an alternate on the wrestling team for the 32 Olympics here in LA!
